So...if you've been wondering where I am...I just had surgery last week.

Don't panic...I'm fine :) They removed an ovarian cyst that was a little bigger than 10 cm in diameter - they said that it was taking up most of my abdominal cavity. Which actually explains a lot - my lack of appetite, etc. It was apparently pressing on my uterus, my stomach, and my bladder.

Yeah, if anyone was really interested ;)

Interesting (in a scary kind of way) how the fact that it was pushing on your stomach was causing you to lose your appetite. Probably due to the stomach being squished slightly smaller.

Another point of interest: I wonder how long it took that to form? Probably a long time to get that big, so hopefully regular checkups will prevent a future reoccurrence.

Again, much luck in healing quickly!

I'm still completely confused.

They think it was there possibly up to a year - that's how long I've been having this intense pain. I also believe (embarrassingly) that it's why I had to go to the bathroom during the day alot...they think it was pressing on my bladder too. Pleasant thought, huh? And actually, my surgeon says that if I continue to take my birth control, it should prevent cysts from forming again. This one had already formed before I could start taking the pills.

Thanks much :)

Awww...glad you're okay now, though. >.< It all sounds a little scary to me.
:iconyakkowarner:
It honestly was kinda scary...but all the scaryness got balanced out by my boyfriend laughing at my "coming out of anesthesia" speech, wherein I tell everyone in my family and said boyfriend how much I love them all, all while sounding incredibly hoarse from an intubator. Lol.

Good times, good times...

Thanks for the well-wishes! :)

I have long studied medical conditions and found that organs with a high rate of cellular division (breasts, ovaries, uterus) are almost precancerous all the time. They are NOT to be trusted! Good thing that was detected before it became incredible. Tapping these things is no good.

I wonder what tests ruled out hydatid cyst (tapeworm germination cyst from a DOG), teratoma (a tumor that tries to organize itself into a baby!) and dermoid (lesser version of teratoma. Mostly hair & teeth)
:iconyakkowarner:
"teratoma (a tumor that tries to organize itself into a baby!)":

AAAAAHHH! I don't want to be a mother yet! But with what you said about most organs with high cellular division are almost always precancerous, I'm glad they removed it!

Out of curiosity, do I know you?
