MiserableSort of silence I'm scared to breach
You're always there, but never seen
Evanescent like you're in a dream
I move to touch you, but then you're gone
And I'm left to ask what I did wrong
I rarely ever see you smile
But when I do, I'm happy a while
Especially if it's directed at me
You give me a sense of calm I need
When I used to see you, I'd feel shy
But I look at you now and feel like I'll cry
Despite this all, I can't be mad
For the time I've known you, I feel glad
But now it seems you're confusing me
As time passes I start to see
Exactly what you mean to me
And I know that I should let you be
But if I let you go your way
Will you come back to me someday?
Or when I give in and let you go
Will that be the end of all I know?
Even now, it feels like I'm dying
So day by day, I'm just trying
To mentally prepare for when
It comes time to say "I'll miss you, my friend."
Yeah...just something I wrote.

... I'm in the same situation, too. My current journal says it all... I thought that it would work out, since I met him RIGHT after my second-to-last breakup (and my 4th grade teacher wasn't kidding when old doors close, new ones open! XD Oh!
